The project involves the creation of site offices for Urban Splash (Build) Ltd. The brief called for a sustainable set of site offices that could be demountable and re-used on different Urban Splash sites across the country. These would not only have to provide a robust working environment for site personnel, but also act as a landmark building signalling Urban Splash’s presence within the local area.

The proposals incorporate the use of recycled shipping containers that have been customized, stacked on top of each and cantilevered over one another, creating a complex three-storey campus. The facilities include office space, meeting rooms, PPE storage, sheltered terraces, as well as space for a small marketing suite component. And of course what site office would be complete without a pink cocktail hut on the roof?

The building is designed to incorporate sustainable provision of power through the inclusion of a wind turbine and PV cells, and could also connect into local CHP energy provision and district heating systems.
