High Tea

Location: The Atrium Space at the Farmiloe Building, Clerkenwell London

We were invited by the Designersblock team to design something special in the main atrium space at the Farmiloe building for Designersblock event in September 2011.

We wanted to do something that simply captured the imagination, an idea, a space, turned on it's head.

To get into the main space you have to enter through a long, low darkened tunnel and as you walk out into the atrium, which is flooded with light, we wanted people to look up with wonder, and discover a magical installation floating above their heads. 

Four armchairs and a side table are suspended upside down by giant helium ballooons and are surrounded by floating teacups and saucers. 

It's as if someone sat down to tea and just...floated away.
