A Wetroom for Tarek

A bathroom in a Victorian terrace house in South East London has been transformed into wetroom, tiled in white hexagonal mosaic.

The room was completely stripped back to its shell and lined with waterproofing tanking. The walls and floor were clad with porcelain mosaic tiles, slim chrome fixtures, fittings and white sanitaryware. A replica ornate Victotrian radiator with brass valves was chosen to set off the otherwise minimal look. The floor is laid to fall towards a recessed flush drain with tiled cover.

Windows were overclad with hinged translucent polycarbonate panels, allowing natural daylight to flood in, as well as providing a hidden shelf for toiletries.

This is in fact Tarek's own apartment, as featured in ES Homes&Property January 2012. See the full article here.
